Pickleball in Wichita Falls, Texas

Wichita Falls has a deep local setup anchored by ten dedicated courts at Weeks Park. Falls Town Courts runs the facility with professional staff, leagues, clinics, events, and a pro shop, while the Natatorium supplies a busy indoor schedule. Players can train seriously, join a league, or simply find a game almost any day of the week.

Courts in Wichita Falls

Falls Town Courts at Weeks Park, 4101 Weeks Park Lane, has ten permanent lighted courts and a full service pro shop. Fall and winter hours are Monday through Thursday from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m., Friday from 8 a.m. to noon and 4:30 to 9:30 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. A Court Pass starts at $16 and covers court fees for one year. The Premier Pass starts at $40 and adds advance reservations, program priority, guest passes, and ball machine time.

The Natatorium offers indoor pickleball on its main gym floor for players 14 and older. Play runs Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to noon, Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. This is the weatherproof alternative, although gym programming and school breaks can reduce court time.

Lessons for New and Improving Players

Two full time pickleball professionals at Falls Town Courts lead year round programming. The four week beginner clinic series covers rules, groundstrokes, serves and returns, dinking, volleys, and match play. The complete series costs $60 for members or $80 for nonmembers, with individual sessions priced at $20 and $25.

Pickleball 101, preleague sessions, private lessons, and group training give players several ways to progress after the basics. Additional instruction is available through pickleball coaches serving Wichita Falls.

Leagues, Tournaments, and Regular Play

Falls Town Courts runs men's, women's, and mixed leagues, along with junior events, socials, and tournaments. Ten courts allow divisions to run together without squeezing everyday players into a single court. Preleague programming is useful for players who want organized matches but are not yet ready for a full competitive schedule.

The Natatorium's weekday mornings provide the broadest recurring indoor window. Weeks Park is stronger for structured league play and evening competition, while the Nat is a practical place for steady recreational games during daytime hours.

Visitor Tips

For a solo visitor, the Natatorium's weekday morning block offers the widest predictable window for finding other players. Falls Town Courts is the better choice for dedicated outdoor surfaces, night play, professional instruction, or a reserved court. The onsite pro shop also solves forgotten balls, grips, and other equipment needs.

Weeks Park hours shift with the season, and membership level determines reservation privileges. A short stay can work around scheduled programming, while frequent visitors get more value from the annual Court Pass. When weather turns harsh, the Natatorium keeps play indoors.
